Lisbon Vlog a day trip to Sintra My younger brother and I loved wandering the streets of Lisbon and eating all the pastéis de nata we could find. We also took a quick trip to Sintra to see Pena Palace, which was just as amazing in person as I hoped it'd be. We stayed at the Blue Liberdade Hotel and really enjoyed it. Here are a few videos that helped us plan our trip and navigate transport: - P...

I know December is over, but I figured the final installment of this year's vlogmas was better late than never. In this video I talk about my last days at home, flying overnight on New Year's Eve, fighting jetlag, which resolutions I kept from last year and the ones I'm making for this year.

Vlogmas 2023 Part 3 | Traveling home to Kentucky & spending time with family
Просмотров 6965 месяцев назад
This week's vlogmas is extra special because I'm home visiting my family for Christmas. I had a little hiccup on my way home, but I made it! My first stop back in the US was Target, of course. Then my brother and I worked on a project for his bookstagram/booktube (@matthew_reads_books/@MatthewReadsBooks). I went to breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast in Louisville, KY with my parents and made a Trad...
8 hours in Paris | Day trip from London
Просмотров 4,7 тыс.5 месяцев назад
I got the crazy idea to just hop over to Paris for the day. As an American, iving in London, the accessibility of travel is still wild to me so I take advantage of it every chance I get. It occured to me that the travel time to Paris is about the same as the commute I make once a month to Bristol for work, so I thought "why not go to France for the day?" I got in around noon and my Eurostar tra...

So cool!
Firstly there is no such thing as a graduate job, just being a graduate isn't enough. In the uk the white collar world is dominated by social class nepotism and connections.
I am traveling solo to Brussels this coming weekend, so catching your vlog was timely! Thank you! (And I have ZERO inhibitions about dining solo. No one gives a sh*t haha.) Although I have tons of friends, family, and a partner, I am still an introvert and still LOVE to travel alone, and people just accept that about me, lol.
When are you visiting Prague? I can show you around.
Come again
Thanks for this! What time do you think is a good time to queue for day 2 and day 3?
I’d say a little before 5 am probably.
Thank you for this super helpful video, I really appreciate it! I now know which rail option suits me best
Thank you 🎉
How about the walking distance from the terminal asking if an older passenger can walk to these stations thank you
It’s about a 10-15 mins. And I think the airport might offer help for those who need assistance.
Where do you go to get to the taxi/uber pick up area if you are arriving at Terminal 3 ?
When you walk out of the arrivals area, the main concourse has a taxi stand.
This was such a fun video to watch. Thanks for sharing. I'm going there in October so I'm tryna learn as much as I can before I experience this solo too
ELIZABETH LINE LOOKS SO GORGEOUS 😍 🚉
Going to London 15 June for a week with friends; thank you so much, your guide is just the best - very informative, friendly and super useful for us first timers :) Happy I have found your video; other similar videos on youtube just don't do the trick.
And how long did you walk from baggage claim to platforms? 😅 like 30 minutes or more?
Hello what are the stops for Elizabeth line?
I can't wait to go in the fall!!!
Could you do a video on getting from London to ireland. Thanks
How do they check the tap you did with your credit card?
Tomorrow, i arrive on terminal 4. Hopefully, i dont get lost. Need to catch picadily line to Gloucester Road station 😅
Good but talk way too fast..
This was such a wonderful vlog!! I loved your video so much! I did a similar solo Edinburgh trip years ago and this was very nostalgic to watch:)
Never knew that app/website existed, seems like it served you well :D. Not sure people DON'T like salmiak, it's very tasty. Sometimes you get a lot of craving for it.
As someone who has done a lot of these little stops and layover dashes, this was the most realistic vlog of a European city I have ever seen in my life 😂 The crowds, the searching for food, the moderately priced chocolates, the narrow slippery steps of some old building/tower haha. Being concious of your depature time. This was great. It looks like a fun and charming place to spend some time and I am adding it to my list.
Thank you for the tip on the apps, Citymapper, Revolut, and Giffgaff. Super helpful!
Leaving in 10 days and your video is helping me feel so much more confident. I've watched a few and yours are the most succinct with clear instructions. Thank You!
Lovely video - thanks for sharing. Meatballs for the People is in no way a bad restaurant, but it also feels a bit like a tourist trap. You're not the first vlogger to fall into it. There are a bunch of restaurants that I would prefer to recommend to a visitor who wants to eat Swedish comfort food, like meatballs. Many with a little more proverbial history in the walls.
Nice to know that those Adidas shoes are not as sturdy as Mango. Thank you for the info 😂👍🏻
This is very very helpful. Thank you!
Ye, so scooter guy comes along, grabs your phone and rides off, pulling your arm outta the socket. Great idea
I'm planning our trip to Europe this year, I'm so glad I found your channel. thank you!
Thank you🙂
Question about paying for buses, the tube, etc with a family of 4. Is it better to have each individual tap to pay for their fare or can one person pay for everyone in your party? I don’t want to make it complicated or be one of those tourists that gets in the way and holds things up.
It’s not possible to use the same card for more than one person’s journey. Each person can either tap with their own contactless credit card or oyster card. I recommend getting an oyster card for kids or anyone who doesn’t have their own credit card. As long as everyone is prepared with their card before getting on the bus or going through the barriers for the tube, it won’t hold anyone up. Hope that helps!
Where to stop drom.hearthrow airport using picadilly circus or tibe to waterloo station ? Thanks
See now THIS is scrapbooking!! Not the stuff that requires 16 patterned paper pads, piles of cardstock and $900 worth of stamps, punches and dies. Your style is so refreshing!
Thank you, glad you like it!
Wife and I are doing London last week of September. Many thanks for suggestions and the visuals, it helps. we hadn't planned on Greenwich, but now it's on the list. Liberty for sure, Portobello road on Saturday plus any antique stores, I think maybe on New Bond St. Wife is a big junker. What about Spitalfields Market? Worth it?
I do like Spitalfields, but you’ll find a lot of the same stuff there as the other markets. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way.
Welcome to Stockholm!
Hey Emily. does it cost different if i use my contactless credit card instead of oyster card? Does the Capping on both cards differentiate?
Hi, there is no price difference. Capping on both cards is the same as long as you use the same contactless credit card each time.
What is the reason you have to tap your card before and after please
Because the price of the journey is based on the distance you travel, so when you tap in and out the TFL can tell how far you’ve gone.
Thanks for the citymapper tip
The citymapper app was a life saver. If you don't listen to anything else and you should download the app. Made getting around both London and Paris relatively easy.
Very helpful...but the video goes by very fast
This was the only useful video i found
Off in July 👌🏻 going on own been going on my own for last 9 yrs a lot better you can do what you want when you want
Very helpful! Might want to add two things (1) Heathrow Express has discounts for advance purchase and for two people who are traveling together (I paid £55 for two people, round trip), and (2) the Piccadilly trains, while the cheapest, are really old, don't have a lot of space for luggage, and don't have air conditioning (that is all supposed to change in 2025)..
What a great day. Thanks for sharing. And "L'Heure Bleu" captured at the Place Vendome! What was your lip color/product after lunch? Merci.....and looking forward to the next one.
I’m planing to visit London and I stumbled across your videos. Thank you so much for those very informative videos it’s brilliant, you did us( travellers) a favour. Also your details is the first video that explains and shows what to expect. Traveling is exhausting and difficult to concentrate after you landed, this put everyone’s mind at ease. Thanks again!! 🙏🙏
Giiiilr I’ve been looking for London recommendations, as I am going in a couple weeks, but out of all the videos that I saw not a single one motivated me to start a schedule. Then I stumbled upon your video and now I am really excited to do my schedule, so thank yooouuu
I watched your RUclips video. Your every video is really awesome. But your channel and your videos expect more views and subs. I analyzing Your RUclips channel and I found RUclips video SEO is not done. This is why your video is not going viral and views are not increasing.
I am planning a solo trip to Italy and Greece. Did you feel safe walking along at night? For example, watching the sunset at Piazza Michelangelo then walking back to hotel or dinner alone? Thanks. Great video !
great video!! going on a solo in August to Spain and Florence. Great tip about the audio tour, i just downloaded it.
